Thanks Class of 2010

The graduating seniors of the co-ed swimming and diving team developed a strong bond, maybe by dealing with some nuances of the sport like occasional early morning practices and always changing pool time. Captains Julie Beauchemin and Matt Flynn, along with Chloe Chen Krauss, Steph Ydoate, and Troy Hutchinson persevered as members of a small team with very talented athletes who often could not compete with other teams in the powerhouse Dual County Swim league. This year, these seniors led the growing HHS Swim and Diving team to a 3rd place finish in the inaugural season of the TVL coed league. Individually, each of these seniors qualified at least once in their HS career for post season Sectional and State Championships. Jess Harrison was State Champ in 2008 in the 500 yard freeestyle, while 1 meter diving school record holder Matt Flynn was a two time Sectional Champion – breaking the meet record this year, and runner up in the State championships. Steph Ydoate joined Matt as a 1st team TVL All-star, with Matt also being a 2 time 1st team MWDN 1st team All Star. And to close out his HHS diving career, Matt was recently named a 2010 High School All-American honors – making him one of the top 130 HS divers in the country
