On Weds, Dec. 12th, HHS Swimming won it’s first Tri Valley League Coed Swim Meet with a 90 to 79 victory over host Norton at Wheaton College.
Freshman Carolyn Banak won a very exciting 100 Yard Butterfly, passing Norton’s boy butterflier at the wall to win by less than 1 second. Senior Captain Julie Beauchemin also swam an exciting race in the 200 Yard Individual Medley, being out-touched at the wall by less than ½ second by Norton’s male winner.
Other first place winners were the 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Christina Belforti, Brittany Cuevas, David Kreigsman, and Ryan McGee, freshman Ryan McGee won the 100 yard freestyle, Christina Belforti placed first in the 100 yard backstroke, and the 400 yard freestyle relay team of Marshall Cohen, Brittany Cuevas, Danielle Potemri, and David Kreigsman also won their event. Holliston’s 1 meter divers, seniors Matt Flynn and Troy Hutchinson, place first and second in their event.
Holliston’s next meet is a TVL Coed meet vs. Dover-Sherborn / Medfield next Monday at 7PM, home at Keefe Tech.
